As a Conjugation Scientist / Technician you will be working in the lab alongside the R&D team to support and help the development of our magnetic bead products. This is a hands-on lab position where you will be expected to perform experiments following protocols and SOPs as well as help improving protocols and literature search. You will be expected to carry out the necessary data treatment and analysis. At the same time, you will be supporting everyday tasks such as inventory check, orders and general lab management.
What you’ll be responsible for:
Hands-on experimental work to support the magnetic bead development work (e.g. protein-bead conjugations, DLS measurements, ELISAs, prepare buffers, etc).
Perform inventory checks and support purchase processes.
Contribute to waste management.
What we look for in a candidate:
Relevant life sciences degree (e.g. Biochemistry, Chemistry, Bioengineering).
Hands-on wet-lab experience (2+ years, full time).
Bead or surface functionalisation and/or conjugation experience, ideally with antibodies and other proteins.
Experience running ELISAs or similar non-automated microplate assays.
Data analysis (working experience with excel).
Not essential, but helpful:
Medical device, IVD or immunoassay development background.
Experience in optimizing/troubleshooting protocols.
Magnetic bead knowledge/working experience.
Working under aseptic conditions.
Formulation (excipients, stability, shelf-life, etc).
Knowledge/work experience with viral vectors.
Working under an ISO13485 QMS.
